Georges Clemenceau's House and Gardens
A lovely walk between the wild gardens by the beach, probably inspired by Monet, and the house with sea views from every room.
Prehisto' site du cairn (in French)
Wake up the prehistoric man in you! Take part in family visits, demonstrations and creative workshops: making fire, hunting, moving a menhir, making jewellery or pottery, and for children: drawing with charcoal, applying make-up with ochre... It's a must! A very rewarding experience!
The Payre estuary
Not to be missed! This site, classified as a Large Natural Complex, was designated the first remarkable site in the Vendée! It's actually the mouth of the oyster-farming channel. A bend to see the pine forest reflected in its waters, a final meander to skirt the beautiful coastal dune, and the Payré, which is actually the watercourse that runs through Talmont and empties into the ocean between Jard-sur-Mer and the Veillon beach...
