Children love the big wooden cabins, but so do their parents! Nestling in the heart of the campsite, the Indés enjoy an easy 2-camp formula, typical of Night&Day campsites! Not to be missed
The Dolmen de Bouery, Pot Bouillant, the Benaize valley, Saut de la Brame and the Monts de Blond are among the most emblematic sites in the Haut Limousin. Here, nature is everywhere and can be contemplated in a garden, beside a river or in the shade of a legendary stone.
Nature side
Well-known to anglers, the Gartempe valley is home to a number of protected species. The ponds in the north of the Haute-Vienne provide a stopover for migratory birds. A veritable "inland sea", the 330-hectare Lac de Saint-Pardoux is set in a haven of greenery. The Haut Limousin is a great place for walking, horse riding and mountain biking, with a multitude of signposted trails. The small country roads are perfect for cycling, while the lakes and rivers are a fisherman's paradise.
Heritage
Discover the villages of character, Bellac "Village-Étape", Le Dorat "Petite Cité de Caractère", Chateauponsac, Magnac-Laval or Mortemart classified "One of the most beautiful villages in France" our towns of character will tell you their history through their monuments. The René Baubérot Ethnographic Museum displays rare collections retracing life in Limousin in the 19th and 20th centuries. And what about the three lanterns of the dead, those mysterious granite columns from the 12ᵉ century?
Festivities
(unless there are new government restrictions): A land of festivals, the Haut Limousin comes alive in the summer months with Les Nuits Musicales de Cieux, the Festival National de Bellac, the Festival du Haut Limousin and Zicanouic. Every year in summer, the "Fête de tout ce qui vol" in Blond, the film festival in Le Dorat, horse races and the "Frédéric Mistral" (raids, hiking and mountain biking) set the pace in the Pays du Haut Limousin. More unusual are the procession of Saint-Maximin in Magnac-Laval and the septennial ostensions in Le Dorat, a moving tradition.
Creuse and Berry
Just a few kilometres away, the Creuse, with its authentic countryside and breathtaking landscapes, is sure to win you over: La Vallée des peintres. Les Ruines de Crozant, Le Confluent des 2 creuse or Le Val de Creuse. You can also discover towns and villages full of character, including 2 listed as "One of the most beautiful villages in France": Saint Benoit du Sault (15km) and Gargilesse (40km); then La Souterraine (20km), Crozant (30km), Argenton-sur-Creuse "the Venice of Berry" (40km), La Celle Dunoise (45km) or Le Moutier d'Ahun (70km).
